Huda Beauty – Mauve Obsessions Palette | Review

I’ve been obsessed with Huda Beauty for ages, ever since she was a blogger so when she first started coming out with makeup palettes I really wanted them.

But sister hasn’t got £56 to spend on an eyeshadow palette!

I don’t think I’ve ever spent that much money on one piece of makeup and I wasn’t about to start now.

Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions

I find makeup palettes, especially eyeshadow palettes hit or miss.

There’s always one colour you’ll use more than others and one colour that will never be used.

So, when she came out with the smaller, travel-friendly Obsessions palette, I was instantly drawn to the pink, mauve, plum colours because they’re not something I had in my current collection.

Being a former Makeup Artist, I had high hopes that Huda Beauty palettes would be highly pigmented, so I watched A LOT of videos to ensure they would be and took the plunge.

This palette exceeded my expectations, and while I don’t wear it every day (HA! Like I could rock a pink shimmer look to work!), they do get enough use out of them to justify having them in my collection.

Surprisingly, I use this palette more than my Urban Decay Naked Heat one.

One of the complaints about this palette was that it wasn’t suited to women of colour, some of the colours would be patchy when applied with a brush and it was generally not as good as the bigger palettes.

Well, my friends, that is a lie!

This palette is gorgeous, so flattering and every time I use the colours, I get so many compliments.

Even the transition shades are gorgeous and I don’t find I have to dip into another palette to complete my look.

Each Obsessions palette costs £25 and come in so many different colours.

From Topaz, Ruby, Smokey, Warm Brown. You name it!

What I really like about the smaller palettes is they give you value for money, they’re travel-friendly and they’re super pigmented and for £25 that is an amazing bang for your buck!

Would I recommend the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette?

100% this is one of my favourite palettes and I get so much use out of it.

I’m already eyeing up the Topaz Obsessions palette to replace my Naked Heat palette as it seems more pigmented and it seems I’d get more use out of it than the palette I have.
